Early Days
The Student Center was founded in 1995 by Jeff Edelman. Back then, the site was very, very small, with not much content. There were a few helping hands here and there, keeping the content fresh and interesting. At that time, there was no logging in, no points, no profiles -- we just had the discussion boards and forums!
March 2000
Matt Hollander joins up with Jeff to start developing the site. His brother, Mike, joined up to help create the login system, the points system, and the fortune wheel. Slowly but surely, the Student Center was on its way.
An early version of the site
May 2000
In May of 2000, Tom and Raj joined the crew, along with Josh and Darren. The "fantastic four" really gave the site a huge push that summer, and each summer after that as well.
Summer 2001
This summer the dream team really took over. Iv (aka 'hexer') joined up, along with Noah and Adam. We really got things moving then. Pets of War, Groups, the short-lived Blogs v1.0, and the Casino all got started that summer.
2001 - 2004
The site began to grow by leaps and bounds. Better games, bigger forums, cool prizes, and the tightest community on the Internet stuck through everything.
2005 and Beyond
The Student Center has seen many of its favorite workers go off and do other things, but they all still drop by every now and then, both in person and on the site. Little did they know that once you work here, you never leave! We've got some really great things in store for you, and we're stronger than ever, with no plans to go anywhere but up. Over the next year or so, we hope for the Student Center to grow faster than it ever has.
